My partner and I went to the Beefeater at the Premier Inn Torquay on Saturday night, we were very disappointed with the food! We had already reserved a table a couple of days before, it was very busy in there when we arrived. We were shown to our table fairly quickly and we placed our order.
We ordered just one starter of dipping bread to share this arrived very quickly but was so chewy we had a job to get our teeth through it! It had been microwaved and was practically inedible!!
For the main course, my partner ordered steak and chips and I ordered a tomato risotto! My risotto looked disgusting the rice was a soggy mush and the garlic bread was like a sponge full of fat and was very chewy as it had been microwaved yet again! It was all tasteless and very disappointing! My partners meal was bland and boring and looked unappetizing. The bill came to just over £35.00. We won’t be going back as we have decided that this has become like a fast food outlet, and since our last visit the food has definitely deteriorated!!
