Angels Tea Rooms – Revisited
Where better to spend A rainy Sunday afternoon in June than having a delicious cream tea at Angels tea Rooms in Babbacombe.
There really is no where better for quality and service.
The tea is fresh brewed in porcelain tea pots using loose tea and tea strainers (not many place left that serve it like that nowadays) with loads of hot water and fine china cups and saucers. The scones are delicious, home made and warm. Many types to choose from even a ginger type. Lots of cream and home made jam. All the cakes are also made on the premises. The cakes are served on a traditional 3 tier cake stand. Sandwiches are freshly made and worth trying (bacon and brie are my favourite).
It’s a genuine old fashioned tea room with a lovely angels theme. Highly recommended. But book if you are going especially at weekends as it does get very busy.
